The penultimate round of the MotoGP 2020 season could see a new champion crowned - read on for full details on how to watch all the Valencia GP action online, no matter where you are in the world right now.

Having gradually made it to the top of the riders championship last month by grinding out points without actually winning a race, Joan Mir finally won his first GP os this campaign with a win at last weekend's Grand Prix of Europe.

That victory ensured the Spanish rider has opened up a 37-point lead at the top of standings and now stands on the cusp of his first title, ahead second placed Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo.

The second of a double-header in Valencia following last weekend's Grand Prix of Europe, action for the main event this Sunday gets going at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo track at 2pm local time (CET).  That makes it a 1pm GMT start for fans watching from the UK and an 8am ET / 5am PT flag for those in the US. Get your local MotoGP live stream wherever you are with the help of a VPN.

While six riders are still mathematically in the mix, only Quartararo and Alex Rins are the only two other riders realistically in contention for the championship beyond Mir.

There are numerous permutations for Mir to be crowned in Spain on Sunday, but the most straightforward route is for the 23-year-old to make a podium finish.

If championship rivals Quartararo or Rins fail to win this weekend's race, Mir can still claim the title if he finishes in at least sixth position.

Should he pull off the feat - and having made the podium in seven of the last nine races , his odds are looking extremely positive - Mir would become Suzuki's first title winner since Kenny Roberts Jr all the way back in 2000.

Yamaha MotoGP rider Valentino Rossi looks likely to once again miss this week's action, having tested positive for COVID-19 once again, just a week after testing negative following a two-round layoff with the virus last month.

Also missing from the grid will be Italian rider Andrea Iannone, after he was handed a four-year ban due to losing his anti-doping appeal, while Honda have confirmed Marc Marquez will remain out of action for the rest of 2020 in order to recover from his broken arm with eye on next season's campaign.

Follow our guide below as we explain how to watch the Valencia Grand Prix and get a MotoGP live stream from anywhere in the world this week.

How to watch a MotoGP live stream from outside your country

To see how you can live stream the MotoGP action in the UK, Australia (where coverage is free), the US, Canada and New Zealand, read on further down this page to see the broadcast options. But if you want to stream the riding from outside your country, you may find that it's geo-blocked.

That's where a VPN can come in really handy. It's a piece of software readily available to download and install that allows you to simulate the IP address on your laptop (or mobile phone, tablet, streaming device, console, etc) so that it appears to be in a completely different country. Ideal, assuming that it doesn't breach any Ts&Cs from the broadcaster you're trying to tune in to.
